From wikipedia:
The Conor Pass, which runs from Dingle on the southern end of the peninsula towards Brandon Bay and Castlegregory in the North, is the highest mountain pass in Ireland, a tight, precarious road, weaving its way around the sharp cliff faces and past the high corrie lakes.I can vouch for "tight, precarious road." Some of the stories I found said that the road was so narrow that your wheels hung over the edge. The road has been improved recently. There was one stretch of about 1 km that was actually a single lane including a blind corner.
